We can convert your old 35mm slides, including Kodachrome and Ektachrome, to fresh digital images with our high resolution slide scanning service. All 35mm slides are scanned at 4000 dpi, giving an average image size of around 5276 x 3564 pixels (18 megapixels). Each slide is cleaned prior to scanning and the processed with Digital ICE 4 to remove the dust and scratches.

Once your items are scanned they will require some form of digital processing in order to get the most out of your new digital image. We have a range of image processing services that you can choose from to suit your budget and requirements. All 35mm films are scanned at 4000dpi, giving an image of around 5500 x 3500 pixels (18 megapixels). Each image is cleaned and processed with Digital ICE 4. Please note: This service only scans colour 35mm film negatives, black and white film negatives are scanned separately

All sizes of medium format film are scanned from 6cm x 4.5cm up to 6cm x 12cm, also mounted 7cm by 7cm framed film and 127 super slides.

PRINTS
Scans are produced at 600dpi or 300dpi, depending on the process, but we can produce higher or lower dpi's on request.We can scan any size of flexible media up to 11 x 16 inches physical dimension. Our Epson flatbed scanner can produce 300dpi images, and we can produce higher or lower dpi's on request. While drum scanners are capable of scanning both reflective and transmissive artwork, a good-quality flatbed scanner can produce excellent scans from reflective artwork up to A3 or 11x16 inches in size. We can also produce 18 bit scans on request.

Small scans up to 5MB are suitable for web and layout use. Larger file sizes are required for printing. We can advise what size scans you'll require for your work. Maximum size for original material is A3.
